Sparkhill Foodbank provide three days’ nutritionally-balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis. They are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK. This works on a referral-only basis, and we are able to support any of our families in need by making a referral to our local Foodbank at the Church of the Ascension (School Road, Hall Green). Any parents/carers who would like to discuss this confidentially, please contact the school and speak to Mrs Harper or Mrs Evans.
Today is #WorldDownSyndromeDay #WDSD19 #LeaveNoOneBehind. Did you know, it's celebrated on the 21st day of the 3rd month because of the 3 copies of chromosome 21 that people with Down Syndrome have? Do your bit to raise awareness. @DSAinfo. @CDC_tweets @ABAonline
