“Tapestry” is a theatre production designed to give pupils a safe space to discuss sensitive and controversial questions about how and why young people can get drawn into extremist ideologies. The play is interactive, with the action stopping at intervals so that pupils can talk to the characters in the play and ask them questions or give them advice. This production addresses the five fundamental British Values of democracy , rule of law, tolerance of different cultures and religions, mutual respect and individual liberty and is part of the school’s response to the “Prevent” strategy. Our pupils really enjoyed their visit to the @SoJ_BCU yesterday afternoon. They were able to see their pieces on display and also see other craft makers at work. It was very inspiring and a fantastic opportunity for them. Pop in and have a look!
